BERNS, Ruby F. She peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, April 4, 2013 in her home in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Albert; mother to David (Cheryl) and Laura (Maurice) Le Breux. Cherished Bubby to Dali, Nadine (Kevin and great-grandson), Lindsay (Cam), and Gillian. Ruby will be missed by her in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Ruby was very active at Temple Anshe Shalom. She enjoyed serving in RAF Intelligence during WWII. She was a long time golfer and bridge player and in later years loved Mahjong with her closest friends. Thanks go out to her family doctors, her nurses, and her care-givers. Services will be held at Hebrew Memorial Chapel (28 Ewen Road, Hamilton) on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Anshe Sholom Cemetery (Limeridge Rd. East, Hamilton). Shiva to be held at the Berns’ residence from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, April 7th through Thursday April 11th. Donations to be made in Ruby’s memory to Temple Anshe Sholom Berns Music Library or Cemetery Fund.
