Shiva will take place at the home of Marsha Sandler, 1770 Main St. West, Suite 804, Wednesday, July 20th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday, July 21stfrom 2:00 to 4:00 pm & 7:00 to 9:00 pmand Saturday, July 23rd from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with Shiva minyan service at 8:00 pm each night.
FLEISCHER, Rose Feder Lieff Sadly, after over 100 years of a life filled with many changes, Rose, passed away with her family at her bedside at Hamilton General Hospital. Daughter of the late Ben and Sarah Feder of Sydney, N.S. predeceased by sisters, Sally and Lily in childhood. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Lieff of Halifax, and Samuel Fleischer of Tamarac, Florida, Survived by her loving daughter Marsha Sandler (late Arnold) and partner Peter Halasz; and stepson Martin Fleischer and wife Edna Ranck of Washington, D.C. Proud grandmother of Tracy Sandler, husband Ken Herlin, and Dr. Samantha Sandler and husband Dr. Steven Tishler, and loving great-grandmother of Jonathan and Maddie Herlin and Rachel and Amanda Tishler. Sister-in-law of the late Harry and Lillian Tisnower, and aunt of the late Herb and Irving Tisnower and their families. Rose was vivacious and sparkling and a talented pianist with a great love of words, always having her dictionary nearby. During her years of living in Tamarac, Florida, she proudly accompanied the Bermuda Club choral group for many years. She was also known for her delicious baking in both Hamilton and Halifax. Rose had excellent taste in clothing and enjoyed many compliments about her appearance. She will be missed by the wonderful staff at Shalom Village who lovingly cared for her during the past 15 years, the last 3 in the Nursing Home where she chatted with everyone and where she especially loved lunches at Bubbie Bessie’s Cafe.
