LAX, Sheridan Beloved husband of Gloria, cherished father of Stephen and Sharon, Gary and Leila, Judy, and Ron and Esti, and adored grandfather of Nicole, Andrew, Jennifer, Stacey, Daniel, Ryan, Ilyse, Isaac, Matthew and Jamie, and great-grandfather of Ava, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Saturday morning, December 17, 2016. Sheridan will long be remembered by all for his love, graciousness, good humour, and charm. He was born on May 26, 1924 and married his beautiful bride Gloria 69 years ago. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Funeral service to be held at the United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton, on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment at the Beth Jacob Cemetery. Shiva will be held following the interment from Monday to Friday at 21 Markland St., Hamilton, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Evening service at 7:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Sheridan Lax can be made to Shalom Village in Hamilton (905) 529-1613.

Sheridan was a valued client of my late father, Charles, from 1950-1960. Both Sheridan and Gloria were also personal friends of our family. They were an uncommonly handsome, gregarious couple. I came to know them from family simchas. They were friendly, fun-loving and warm. I always enjoyed our chats. I shall remember Sheridan with respect and admiration for his intelligence, humanity and personal charm. Please accept my sincerest sympathies on your great loss.
