On May 28, 2026, after a short and very difficult battle, with tremendous courage and strength, Jerry succumbed to cancer. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 63 years, Roslyn, his children Sharon (Michael Levine) and Julie (Gary Toporoski). Jerry was a warm, fun, loving and generous Zayde and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Alex and Zachary Levine, Jesse and Mazzy Toporoski. Jerry is survived by his brother Bruce (Chainie), sister Shellie (Jeffrey Blonstein), sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Avram Fishman and his beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jerry was a dedicated doctor and a cherished friend. Many thanks to his dear friends who have been so kind to him. Jerry made everyone laugh wherever he went. With immeasurable thanks to his caregivers, especially Mary Ann, Jovie, Irene, Maretess, Markenson, Samuel, Manny and to Dr. Michael Schweitzer.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. Interment at the Adas Israel Cemetery 575 Old York Road Burlington. Shiva will be observed at 35 Whitton Road, Hamilton from 3:15 p.m. on Sunday and daily from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; prayers are at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of shiva gifts, memorial donations may be made to the Adas Israel Synagogue or the Hamilton Jewish Federation.

I am so sorry to learn of Jerry’s passing ! He was a valued friend and colleague over many years. Jerry was an excellent Urologist who provided compassionate care to his many patients over a long practice life. I will miss his humour and story telling which enlivened our many interactions. I am very regretful that I am unable to attend his funeral .

We feel so privileged to have had the honour of meeting and spending time with such a kind intelligent gentle meaningful brilliant ma, husband, dad, grandfather and friend. Albeit too brief.
