BLOOM, Clara (nee Sauder) December 6, 1923 – April 15, 2019 Clara Bloom was predeceased by her husband, Louis Bloom, her sister Mollie Aron, and her brothers Max Sauder and Ben Sauder. She is survived by her son, Ivan Bloom (Elizabeth), grandchildren Darryl Bloom (Karen) and Diana Bloom Merkoulovitch (Michael), great- grandchildren, Ava, Brandon, Benjamin, and Cara, as well as her sister, Sarah Rochwerg, and many nieces and nephews. Clara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A dignified and public-spirited woman, she worked on many charitable causes. She will be sadly missed by her family. Funeral will take place Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton at 28 Ewen Road in Hamilton. A Reception will follow the interment. The reception will be held at Samuel’s Bistro at Shalom Village, 70 Macklin Street N., Hamilton, ON. Shiva will take place at the Ruth Sherman Centre at Shalom Village as follows: 1) Thursday, April 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon, and 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. 2) Friday, April 19 from 10:30 am- 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shalom Village Charitable Foundation. The family of Clara wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Shalom Village for their loving care of Clara.
