Date of death: April 25, 2024
A graveside service will be held on April 28, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Rd. East, Hamilton.
Loving father to Samantha (Geoff), Washington DC; Cindy (Gord), Oakville; and Bill (Karen), Toronto. Devoted Grandpa to Athena, Erica, Max, Brianna and Mandi. Dear brother and brother-in-law to the late Carole and Murray Rice. Loved Uncle to his nephews, Harley, Bobby and Sandy.
John was born in Hamilton to May and Louis Bloom. He raised his family in Oakville where he became a successful and highly respected businessman in the automotive industry. In 1991 he met his partner, Linda Beitchman. Together, they shared many wonderful memories. Along with celebrating and supporting his children’s successes, he doted on his grandchildren and was involved in every aspect of their lives. John had an unmeasurable zest for life. He revelled in travelling the world. Later in life, he enjoyed spending time at his condo in Fort Lauderdale. John loved the theatre, live events and social gatherings and would take in as many activities as he possibly could. He enjoyed having his family and friends near and always looked forward to visits, regardless of the occasion.
John has left a huge void in the lives of all he touched. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
