Interment will be at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton

 

Full Covid-19 protocols will be in effect as follows: In an effort to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Chapel will accommodate seating for 80 people, providing safe distancing. ONLY THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN DOUBLE VACCINATED WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE CHAPEL. Proof of Ontario certificate and Identification WILL be requested.
At the cemetery, we will be limited to a maximum of 100 persons (including Clergy) for the safety of mourners, funeral home and cemetery staff.
Masks must be worn, covering the nose and mouth, and social distancing 2m (6′) is required unless you are of the same household. For those that wish to participate in the mitzvah of Kevura, gloves must be worn. Names and phone numbers will be requested.

Joyce Dain (Fines)  On Thursday February 3, 2022 in Hamilton, Joyce Dain at the age of 88 years, passed peacefully with her son at her side. Survived by her loving husband Irving of 65 years, mother of Steven and the late Robert Dain (Cathy), sister Eleanor Offentier, and proud grandmother of Michael, Adam and Aaron. Inspired by her father the late Dr. Simon Fines, she graduated from Nursing at the University of Toronto in 1956. She was active volunteer at Temple Anshe Sholom, where she had many roles in the sisterhood and most recently was in charge arranging speakers for the Sunday morning breakfast club. She was an avid Tennis player and hiker of the Bruce Trail into to her 70’s, water colour artist, enjoyed boating, fishing, mahjong, and bridge. She enjoyed extensive travel with both her family and friends, and took multiple cruises with her husband Irv into her 80’s. Funeral arrangements located at www.uhmc.ca.
