Funeral:  January 11, 2015, Temple Anshe Shalom, 11:00 am. 215 Cline Avenue North, Hamilton

DAIN, Dr.Robert Philip,  in Kingston at age 54 of complications from surgery .  He was the top student in his Grade 12 and 13 classes and was an avid math lover who won many prizes at Math Contests sponsored by the University of Waterloo. He received the Prince of Wales Scholarship from the University of Toronto, but decided to take Medicine instead and graduated in 1983.  He also graduated in Nuclear Medicine from the University of Western Ontario in 1988, and in Radiology at Queens University in 1991 where he met his future wife Catharine.  He was the adoring Father of sons Michael and Aaron of Kingston and Uncle to Adam of London. He was the beloved son of Dr and Mrs Irving Dain (nee Joyce Fines) of Hamilton,  as well as loving brother of Dr. Steven Dain of London.  Rob’s Grandfather, Dr Simon Fines, was the first Medical Director of the first Mount Sinai Hospital at 100 Yorkville Ave in Toronto and was awarded the first Accreditation for that hospital.

Funeral to be held at Temple Anshe Sholom at 215 Cline Ave North in Hamilton L8S4A1, at 11 am this Sunday January 11 2015.

Shiva will take place Sunday, 7-9 PM,  Monday and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9  at 69 Pleasant Ave Hamilton. 905 383 7866
