As the oldest Starter/Marshal, in both age and seniority, at the Deerfield Golf Club in Oakville, I would, on behalf of our Starter/Marshal Group, offer our most sincere sympathies to the family on Norm’s passing.
Norm was a formidable member of our Starters/Marshals group. He was a unique and joyful person to both work with and golf with.
Norm joined our Starter/Marshal group at the turn of the century in the summer of 2000, so I have had 21 years of enjoyment working and golfing with Norm.
It was a real pleasure to golf with Norm because he was not the type to wrap his club around a tree after a bad shot, not even after a real ugly shot.
He would just look at you and smile. The type of smile that suggested you not make any comment!
Norm, Alav Ha-sholom.

We are bereft. Norm was the essence of goodness, and kindness and generosity. What a spirit! Always with a smile, always with a gentle nature, with intelligence and genuine caring. He will be missed by so many. But his family lived with the best of him. And they are the true beneficiaries of his essence. Our sincerest condolences to everyone who mourns his passing.
