It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Anne Krieger, who passed away on February 16, 2022. She was a teacher and a lifelong learner. Her greatest passion was her book club and its members were among her dearest friends. She was an active volunteer for many years in her community. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack, she is survived by her daughters Bella and Susan (Carl), her close nephew Michael Bromstein, his wife Samantha and daughters Reese and Regan, and her extended family in Canada and the US. A private funeral was held at the GOI Cemetery. The family would like to thank the incredibly kind staff of Shalom Village and her caregivers, Julie and Mercedes. Donations may be made to Shalom Village or Temple Anshe Sholom.
So sorry to read of your moms passing. Also to read of your dads passing awhile ago. Marsha and I are out of town alot of the year and don’t always read the spectator.
I knew your parents when I was the branch manager of the Hamilton branch of Canada Life, during the 80’s and 90’s. We saw them often and especially at company conferences, when your Dad qualified for all of them!
He was my leading producer for many years. We have a phrase you might enjoy. “Weep not for what you lost, but smile for what you had”

I was so sorry to read of your mom’s passing, Susan and Bella. She and I often crossed paths at Fortino’s and she would always fill me in on what you were both doing. The last time I saw her was when you were visiting and it was lovely to see you too. My heart goes out to both of you. Vivian
She really was a lovely person, with a smile that lit up her face, and a voice that was soft and pleasant. I was always happy to see Anne and had great memories of her as my teacher in grade 7 and 8, many many years ago.
I was not aware that she wasn’t well since I hadn’t been in Shalom since Covid began. Susan and Bella, you both inherited that wonderful smile. My deep condolences on your loss and may those precious memories of Anne give you comfort. ❤️ Marsha
