It is with great sadness that we announce that on Thursday July 1, 2021, Sydney Kudlats peacefully passed away in his 100th year at home with his family by his side. He is survived by his children Stan and Joanne, Howie and Jolanta, Flora and Jay. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to his 6 grandchildren, Marta, Alysa and Stuart, Jonathan and Jessica, Holli and Adam, Jessica and Aubey, Jaimie and Marcus. But his most proud accomplishment was that of Great grandfather to Ben, Jack, Gabbi, Kaylee, Ryan, Ty, Abby, Emily, Jordyn, Coby, Mason and Joey. This is a title that not many people can say they hold! Remarkably, he is survived by his 101 year old sister Sybil Kuby of San Francisco and his many nieces and nephews. Syd is predeceased by his loving and caring wife Gitty, parents Louis and Flora and his brothers and sisters Dora, Phamie, Harry, Betty, Bella, Sammy and Harold. Syd formed great friendships and had many special memories like 2 holes-in-one over the last 60 years while playing golf at the Beverly Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed his winnings over his younger buddies at his daily gin rummy card games.
He was sharp as a tack right up until his final good-bye.
Special thanks to Dr. Allan Greenspoon and caregivers Nita, Jona and Mae for their ongoing care and support over the last few months
Graveside funeral will be held at Beth Jacob Cemetery, 1250 Snake Road, Burlington, at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 4.
My deepest condolences to your whole family.
Growing up I was most excited to go see my Dad and Blackie in the card room after golf every weekend just to hear the hilarious comments and foul language.
Remembering them in our home, Gitty and Sid were always a party.
Wonderful memories!
Dear Stan and Family: My sincere condolences. I am not sure if you remember me. Lucienne I worked with your father and your Uncle Harold. I believe it was 1971 or 1972 at the office in the Connaught Hotel. The last time I saw your father was several years ago on New Year’s Eve at the Chinese restaurant in Westdale Village. My husband and I were having dinner there so was your father and mother.
I remember him very well and he always remembered me, when I ran into him. It is quite an age though 99 years old. Good old Syd. Hope you and your family are well.
Sending my deepest condolences to the whole family.
