Jack Leon passed away peacefully on Sunday morning after battling cancer. A psychologist by trade, Jack was a healer and a helper who loved travel, theatre and of course Jim Morrison. A loving brother and son, Jack is survived by his niece Erica, nephew Mike, great-nieces Ellie and Maggie, and countless friends and family whose lives he touched in meaningful ways. He will be forever missed. Donations can be made to Jewish Social Services of Hamilton.
I have very fond memories of Jack from the time we worked together in the Counselling Department at Mohawk in the 1980’s. He was a kind and caring person and very committed to his field.
Remembering the days at Mohawk College and how Jack helped both students and staff. Rest in peace.

Jack was one of those rare people who just cared for people. We will miss him, the world is diminished by his loss.
Jack, you will be missed. Hamilton Jewish Family Services is better because of the contributions you made, and because of your deep love for our community. You were one of a kind.
We will miss Jack, who was a gentle and kind soul.
Rest In Peace.
Jack’s passing brought back memories of so many years as colleagues at Mohawk College. I will remember him as a compassionate human being who always empathized with others. Indeed, a real mensch. Farewell dear Jack”!
