LOEWITH, Minna December 23, 1922 – June 27, 2017 Minna passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at Shalom Village. Minna was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, her parents Leo and Ida Abeles, and her sister Hannah. She leaves behind her children, Harry and Shani, Carl and Sandi, David and Bonnie, 9 grandchildren, and 21 great-grand- children. Minna was a refugee to Canada in 1938 and was always appreciative of the opportunities this country gave to her and her family. Her work ethic, her kindness, sense of humour, and her optimistic life view defined her. She had a sincere interest in everyone she met. She was devoted to her lifelong friends, cousins, and extended family. Her commitment to maintaining these relationships added richness to her life. In 1947, Joe and Minna purchased a small dairy farm in Copetown. Through hard work and dedication they watched it grow and pass down to the next generations. She was so proud of the farm. The family would like to thank Dr. H. Boutin for her many years of care, as well as Marilyn and all of her dedicated, compassionate caregivers, staff and volunteers at Shalom Village. Funeral to take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Temple Anshe Sholom (215 Cline Ave. N., Hamilton).
