PACKER, Mark 1926 to 2015 Born on October 19, 1926 in Montreal, PQ, Mark passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015 in Hamilton, Ontario. Passionately devoted for more than 60 years to his loving wife, Ede. Survived by his son, Richard (Tamar) and grandsons Michael and Jeffrey. Mark defined himself as a business man par excellence. He was a man of unwavering conviction, yet tender and caring towards those close to him. Mark was the consummate gentleman and will be remembered for his devotion to his wife Ede and his mentorship as an ever-present father and grandfather. The family would like to thank the caring staffs at Saint Peter’s Residence at Chedoke, Five Complex Continuing Care and CTU Central at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. In particular, we are most grateful to his medical team consisting of Drs. Alton, Bibic, Boyle, Neary and Woods. We very much appreciate the tender care provided by nurses Meggin, Elisa and Jannean. Finally, to Ferdie and Lolita who became very special friends and caregivers to “Mr. Mark”, a most heartfelt thank you for your patience, care and support. A private graveside service has occurred. An open house in memory of Mark will be held at 474 Scenic Drive in Hamilton from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
