Dear Gersh, Marjorie and Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother/mother-in-law. Our thoughts are with you. Shirley and Alan
It is with many tears rolling down my cheek that I write this note. Sylvia was one of my dearest friends. She was an elegant smart warm person with a kind heart. She will always be in my heart. Sending heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
To the Green Family,
I was saddened to learn of the petira of Rebetzin Green. As a teenager, I had moved to Westdale from North Hamilton. I had started to babysit Rabbi Herbie Millen’s kids, all of us residing in Camelot Towers. They then recommended me to Rabbi and Rebetzin Green, Z’L to babysit for the two or three older kids and I happily babysat for your family. Your mother was a lovely lady and attractive too. I happily remember those days, all these many years later. Growing up at Beth Jacob, I always gravitated to the Adas, and with your parents and the Millens encouragement I became active in Y.U.S.Y., the precursor to NCSY. After moving to Toronto, fast forward to being a parent of a post Bar Mitzvah son…he ended up back in the Hamilton stomping ground of his parents and attended your father’s of BlessedMemory, project…Yeshiva of Hamilton. Full Circle of Frumkite…in some part, contributed by babysitting for your family together with the Millen Mishpocha. May your memories of your dear parents, the most recent, your beloved mother Sylvia, Z’L bring you much comfort and succor. Hamakom Yenachem Etchem Betoch Shaar Avalei Tzion ve Yerushalyim and know no more sorrow. Janice Garshowitz Lebow
