SHERMAN, Dorothy Peacefully at Shalom Village on Monday, May 26, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Nathan Sherman. Cherished mother and mother-in- law of Michael and Gwenn Sherman; Annette and Arthur Segal, Howard and Debbie Sherman. Loving grandmother of Elisha and Stephen Margles, Barry Sherman, Debbie and Kristian Sorenson, Hilary and Marc Rotenberg, Neil and Sarah Sherman, Aubby and Melissa Sherman and Mark Sherman. Caring great-grandmother to Joshua, Adam, Jeremy, Abigail, Mara, Eva, Emily, Nate, Max and Ari. Sister and sister-in-law to Sydney and Billy Richman and the late Frances and Lester Gretenstein. We would like to thank the staff at Shalom Village, especially Joyce and Olive for their great care of our Mom. And we would like to thank Sonia, Bessie, Byng, Lainey, Tess, Vanessa and the late Virginia Alavata for their special and loving care. And a very special thank you to Julie Desesto. Day and night, Julie’s presence helped to make the past nine years for Mom more comfortable and fulfilling and for that she will always have a special place in our family. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th at Beth Jacob Cemetery, Snake Road, Hamilton. Shiva will be at the home of Michael and Gwenn Sherman from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday afternoon and Sunday. Both morning and evening services will be at Beth Jacob Synagogue, 375 Aberdeen Avenue at 7:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Beth Jacob Synagogue or Shalom Village or a charity of your choice.
