Loving father of Mark and Soula (Karatzias), and Howard; cherished Zaidie of Daniel; devoted brother of Arlene and Mel (Schwey); adored former partner of Jackie (Leon) and Milton Ross; cherished uncle and great uncle to his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; dear son of the late Dora and Hyman Waserman. Joel was a passionate sports enthusiast as well as follower of world news and issues; his affable personality and unique character will be deeply missed by all his friends and extended family. A special expression of gratitude to the entire staff at Shalom Village, and the many caring individuals at St. Joseph’s Hospital, for their years of compassion and support.
