Suzi was born on Jan 11th 1953 and grew up on a dairy farm in Smithville, Ontario. Helping out on the farm taught her sister Wendy and brother Richard the meaning of hard work. Suzi and Wendy, being close in age, and sharing a caring but tough-as-nails mentality developed a very special bond that they would cherish until Suzi’s last breath. With her strong work ethic in hand and a desire to help others, Suzi graduated from the Mack nursing program in 1973 and began her career as a nurse. She met her husband Abe at the Henderson hospital, married in 1976 and had two sons Zachary and Jacob. Suzi was a devoted wife and mother volunteering at the boys school, driving them to practices, and cooking delicious mac and cheese. She met Debra Waxman and a friendship was sparked over their shared dedication to their children. Over the years their friendship grew and continued long after the boys were all grown up. Friends and family knew Suzi to be a straight shooter who gave wonderful advice. She wore jeans, drank beer and never pretended to like expensive bottles of wine. Suzi was beyond proud of Zachary and Jacob and all of their accomplishments. She is survived by her husband Abe, sons Zachary (Jenna), Jacob (Melissa), granddaughters Sophia and Arie, sister Wendy (Bill), brother Richard (Anita), brother-in-law Martin (Cheri), great aunt to Ella and aunt to Katelyn (Peter), Michael (Jisu), Daniel, Alex, Benson (Kristyn), Michael, Rachel, and Haley. Funeral service to be held at the Temple Anshe Shalom Cemetery, June 23rd @1pm A private Shiva will follow. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Shalom Village for all their years of care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shalom Village and/or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

Date of death: June 22, 2022 Funeral will take place on June 23, 2022 at 1:00pm, Graveside at the Temple Anshe Sholom, 427 Limeridge Rd East, Hamilton Please note: At graveside, masks are required and social distancing (6′) unless you are of the same household. For those that wish to participate in the mitzvah of Kevura, […]

[4

post-4664","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-archives
["GET
