Dear Ellen,
We were so very sorry to hear about the death of your mother. You and Tima spoke so beautifully in the eulogy. We hope that you, Tima, and your father, as well as all of the grandchildren, will be comforted by all of your wonderful memories of her. We also hope that we will have an opportunity to reunite with you, Ellen, in the near future.
All the best, Monda and Sonia
Dear Mr. Steinberg, Tima and Ellen, and your whole family:
Please accept my sincerest condolences on Cecile’s passing. David, both you and Cecile were such wonderful friends to my parents, Sharyn and Morty Gunter. I remember fond times growing up in Hamilton, spent together with our families. Tima and I even have pictures to stroll down memory lane…
My thoughts are with you all, and I send many hugs to you all. May you find strength in your memories and may her neshama have an aliyah.
To each and every member of Cele’s wonderful family, we send our heartfelt condolences for your profound loss of a devoted wife, loving mother, and fantastic grandmother. Her service was perfection with the lilting and warm words of the rabbi, the happy stories of daughters who shared the way they were raised by such excellent parents, and the bond expressed by three kind and caring grandchildren…a proud legacy. If only the little “greats” could have known their “Bubbie Cele” too. As cousins, Cele and I wanted to know each other better, but distance made that difficult. On one of their road trip adventures, they decided to explore the Southwest and we lived in AZ at that time. Our oldest daughter, Wendy, gave them a tour of the Tucson JCC where she worked. Then they came north to Scottsdale and we got to know one another as couples. It was our pleasure to send a video for their 60th anniversary; a tribute to their long love story.
Cele’s father, Nate Fox, and my maternal grandmother, Clara Fox Sanders, were brother and sister and in the “middle” of 11 Fox children! Cele was much younger than my mother, but only 6 years older than me. In fact, she was 6 years ahead of me in marriage and our Wendy and Tima are the same age. David and Bob have been great “Girl Dads”! We had hoped to visit cousins in Ontario this summer. While we won’t be w/Cele again in person, her memory will live on…her vibrant and caring ways will be remembered always.
Fondest love from Laurie, Bob, and the entire Beals Family

Mrs. Steinberg, Cecile, you have been a part of my life since I was 3 or 4 years old and I have you to thank for my lifelong friend, Ellen, your daughter. I spent probably as much time at 103 Bond Street as I did in my home, like my bonus mom!
