Shiva will be held at 67 Harmony Hill Crescent, Richmond Hill. Daily visits are welcome from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening prayers will start at 7:45 p.m.
WAXMAN, RUTH A loving and compassionate woman, Ruth Waxman passed away peacefully on April 22, 2015 in her 85th year. Born in Hamilton, she was adored by her parents, the late Harry and Mary Milgrom and was a devoted sister to the late Solly Milgrom. In 1949, Ruth and the late Arnold (Arnie) Waxman married and they built a wonderful life together. Ruth’s strength of character, determination and zest for life will forever be carried in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild all of whom she loved very deeply; Alan and the late Gillian Waxman (Stephanie and Jared Grywacheski (Olivia)) and Owen and Melodye Friedman (Ian and Jordan). As a Past-President of B’nai Brith Women, District 22, Ruth was a strong leader, exceptionally dedicated to Jewish causes. An inspiration to others, Ruth will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humour and positive demeanor. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. at United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton. Interment will take place at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery. Immediately following, friends and family are invited back to 120 Duke Street, Hamilton. Commencing Sunday, April 26th and concluding Thursday morning April 30th, Shiva will be held at 67 Harmony Hill Crescent, Richmond Hill. Daily visits are welcome from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Evening prayers will start at 7:45 p.m. Memorial donations to Hill House Hospice (905-737-9308) would be appreciated where Ruth was treated with compassion, warmth and the dignity she deserved. She enriched the lives of so many and will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
