WASERMAN, Joel Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 29, surrounded by family, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, at the age of 71. Loving father of Mark and Soula (Karatzias), and Howard; cherished Zaidie of Daniel; devoted brother of Arlene and Mel (Schwey); adored former partner of Jackie (Leon) and Milton Ross; cherished uncle and great uncle to his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; dear son of the late Dora and Hyman Waserman. Joel was a passionate sports enthusiast as well as follower of world news and issues; his affable personality and unique character will be deeply missed by all his friends and extended family. A special expression of gratitude to the entire staff at Shalom Village, and the many caring individuals at St. Joseph’s Hospital, for their years of compassion and support. Family and friends are invited to honour Joel’s life at Beth Jacob Cemetery, Sunday, December 3rd, at 10 a.m. (1250 Snake Road, Hamilton), followed immediately by a gathering and light lunch at Shalom Village (70 Macklin St. N., Hamilton, “‘E’ Weisz Family Apartments” building, 4th floor).
