Please note: In an effort to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus, graveside services will be limited to a maximum of 100 persons (including Clergy) for the safety of mourners, funeral home and cemetery staff. Masks must be worn, covering the nose and mouth, and social distancing 2m (6′) is required unless you are of the same household. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Bernard (Nardie) Stanley Glass peacefully in his sleep at Shalom Village, Hamilton, September 15, 2021. Born at the height of the Great Depression in Hamilton, Ontario, he inspired a strong and honest work ethic in his family. Dr. Glass began medical practice in Windsor in the early 1960s, before reestablishing in Dundas. A medical practitioner for nearly 50 years, Dr. Glass’ calm and humorous bedside manner undoubtedly impacted the lives of thousands of patients, and provided reassurance. Dr. Glass will be fondly remembered by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Phyllis Glass, Jonathan and Jeanne Glass, Jeremy Glass (Mari Iwasaki), Edward Glass, his granddaughters, Katie and Kai Glass, his sister Reesa Winer and family (Moishe, Martin and Malcolm), and his dear friend Rochelle Kantorovich.

Bernard Glass loved to share a great international meal in the company of close friends and family. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle spirited man.

A small graveside service will be take place on Sunday, September 19 at 10AM at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton. Please wear a mask.
