It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, Dr. Michael Greenspan, on September 23, 2026.
Devoted father and father-in-law of Launi and Glenn, and Brandon and Tara; loving father of Nolen and Rivi; dear brother and brother-in-law of Barbara and Jeff; and best friend to his cherished dogs, Lulu and Malcolm.
Mike’s greatest loves were his family, sports, animals, and caring for others. He was a respected and prominent member of the Hamilton medical community, dedicating the past 40 years of his career to serving as a urologist. He touched countless lives through his compassionate care and traveled throughout Ontario performing organ retrievals to help save others.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to Mike’s colleagues over the years. He deeply valued your respect, friendship, and support. We also wish to thank Dr. Margetts, Dr. Treleaven, and Dr. Yellin for the compassionate care and guidance they provided to our father.
Please join us for services at The United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, a graveside burial will take place at Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton. Family and friends are then invited to attend a brief Shiva at the family residence on Monday evening.
Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the SPCA or the Kidney Foundation of Canada
