It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Samieth Mintz, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Max Mintz, she led our family with wisdom, humour, and kindness. She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Cynthia (Rob), Nancy, Sharon (Peter), and Joanne (Ronnie). She was deeply loved and respected by her grandchildren, Marta (Joel), Jonathan (Jessica), Natasha (Adam), Jeffrey, Michael (Kayla), David (Jackie), and Danielle (Zev), and by her great-grandchildren, Ben (Alexa), Jack, Kaylee, Ty, Max, Mason, Emma, Arielle, Hallie, Skylar, Bar, Raz, and Amiella. Our mother held a special place in her heart for her New Jersey and Florida cousins, her nieces and nephews, and of course, Amy. She was predeceased by her parents, Minnie and Ben, her brother, Danny, and her sisters-in-law Milli, Faye, and Gertie. Her circle of dear friends was wide. Samieth had a gift for making everyone feel better with her warmth, generosity, and radiant smile. We are forever grateful for the tenderness and care shown to our mother by her caregivers, Susana, Maria, Marissa, Janice, Cristy, and MC.

Dear Mintz Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Samieth’s passing. Some of my best memories of my teenage years were spent at La Belle Cosmetics with my mom (Eleanor)
We loved to laugh with Samieth and Muriel and they made me feel beautiful, teaching me how to apply my makeup. She was magical! Take comfort
in the wonderful memories of both of your parents!

So sad and yet so amazed of the strength and beauty of Samieth.. such a memory of years gone by. Having lived in Hamilton many years ago, I will never forget Samieth. She was one of a kind. May she Rest In Peace…my sympathy to all her family.
I am honored and grateful to have been a part of Samieth’s life. As the oldest remaining member of her family, my memories will always bring joy. Her mother ,Minnie was a beloved Aunt and very important influence. I will always remember our visits and wish we could have been closer over the years. Rest in peace dear cousin.
Dear Mintz Family
Sincere condolences. Samieth and Max were good friends to my parents, Ruth and Harry Hotz. Samieth was always elegant, friendly and kind. Every time I saw her, warmth radiated from her generous and selfless soul. She was always happy to receive friends, family and visitors.
She will be missed.
Love, Susan and Ron Starkman
I was very sad to hear this news today. Your mother was such a wonderful part of my childhood. I know she will be greatly missed by so many people. I feel privileged to have known her. My condolences to all of your family.
Dear Mintz Family,
To say your Mom was very special is an understatement to be sure!
But she will always be very fondly remembered by our family- right from my dear Mom –
Fran Simms to my Sis, and myself, Linda Silvert-
we all experienced her talents, skills, and giving heart when she and Muriel Back lovingly and expertly applied makeup for our weddings!
Between your Mom making us glow for our Special Days,
and your Dad making such delicious meals for our big family events,
They both will always be in our hearts and very fond memories🙏🏻☺️💝‼️
May all of your beautiful Memories Bring Comfort during this very difficult time🙏🏻💙
We know that Samieth’s Memory will always be a blessing in all of the lives she touched 💟🌞
We send our deepest sympathies to the Mintz family on the passing of Samieth Mintz, the elegant and kind counterpart to our beloved late friend and colleague Max Mintz. Our families worked closely together in the Hamilton community, particularly in food and catering services.

To the Mintz family:
Hearing of the loss of your.matriarch, Sameth, of blessed memory… brought back many memories for me. your beautiful and fashionable mother at Beth Jacob on Yom Tovim and your father’s, Max catering simchas and his Chicken Roost and Colony Restaurants.
Cynthia at Westdale Secondary and later bumping into Sharon in Toronto, a doctor at the medical clinic.
How fortunate you all are to have had your mother all these years. I’m sure you all gave her much nachos and pleasure with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May her Neshama have an Aliyah in Shomayim. Hamakom Yinachem etchem b’tech avelei Tzion v’Yerushalyim and may you not know more sorrow. .My heart is with you.

I have very fond memories of Cousin Samieth, though they are too few because of the distance from NJ to Canada. Sameith was my father’s first cousin, and my memories of her go back to the early 1950’s, and ended with my husband and I visiting her in 2024.
My love and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Mintz family.
