Funeral will take place on March 3rd, 2022, at 1:00 pm at The United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton.

Interment at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Road East, Hamilton

 

Full Covid-19 protocols will be in effect as follows: In an effort to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Chapel will accommodate seating for 80 people, providing safe distancing.  ONLY THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN DOUBLE VACCINATED WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE CHAPEL. Proof of Ontario certificate and Identification WILL be requested.
At the cemetery, we will be limited to a maximum of 100 persons (including Clergy) for the safety of mourners, funeral home and cemetery staff.
Masks must be worn, covering the nose and mouth, and social distancing 2m (6′) is required unless you are of the same household. For those that wish to participate in the mitzvah of Kevura, gloves must be worn. Names and phone numbers will be requested.

SAMPSON, Alison Eve (nee Silvera)
Alison passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Carpenter House Hospice on February 28, 2022 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of David for 61 years. Loving and devoted mother of Kevin (Donna), Roger (Josie), Judith (Sylvain) predeceased Suzanne. Addoring grandmother of Nathan, Hannah, Rebecca, Matthew, Alyssa, Rachel and Arianne. Predeceased by her parents Pat and Alice Silvera and in-laws Donald and Debbie Sampson. Loving sister and sister in-law to the predeceased Robin Silvera, predeceased Roger (Margaret) Silvera, Rosemary Silvera, Sydney (predeceased Ernie) Armstrong, and Christine (pre-deceased Tom) Light, Eleanor (Charles) Berman). Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, in Hamilton, Burlington, Toronto, Florida and Washington. Alison emigrated from Jamaica in 1972 with her husband & children in hopes of making a better life. They settled in Burlington to join her parents, siblings & many cousins. Alison was a loving wife and mother, she was proud of keeping a tightly knit family that adored her. Alison’s passions were her husband, children and grandchildren, she also loved spending time painting, cooking, baking and gardening when she wasn’t entertaining her family. We would like to thank Carpenter House Hospice and staff for taking care of our mother in her final weeks. Funeral will take place on March 3rd, 2022. at 1:00 pm at the United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Rd, Hamilton. Internment at the Temple Anshe Sholom Cemetery, 427 Limeridge Rd. East, Hamilton. Donations can be made to Sholom Village, Temple Anshe Sholom or Carpenter House Hospice in lieu of flowers.
