Funeral will take place on November 21, 2017, at The United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton, 28 Ewen Road, Hamilton, at 2:00 pm

Cemetery:  Adas Israel Cemetery, 575 Old York Road, Burlington, Ontario

Following Interment, there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Adas Israel Synagogue, 125 Cline Avenue S., Hamilton.

Shiva:  Monica and Elinor will be sitting Shiva on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at 259 Limeridge Road West, Hamilton

Donations may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.  

BORNSTEIN, Lawrence Aged 65, passed away on November 20, 2017 from cancer. Bereaved are his beloved spouse, Monica O’Neill, and her children, Shari and Ken, Jennifer and John, and grand- children, Kelsey-Lynne, Palmer and Adrianna; and his sister, Elinor Bornstein and brother-in-law Richard Fink, and their children Marty and Chad. Funeral will be held at the United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Donations would be welcome to the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton.

  1. I was truly saddened by Laurie’s passing. He was quite a guy.

    I have many fond memories of Laurie from the Adas Israel choir, bowling league, and from when I lived in the Hamilton area. I can still hear that big booming voice, see his great smile, and remember his kindness. He truly was a mensch.

    My deepest condolences to his entire family. He will be truly missed.

  2. To the family…I am very sad to hear about the passing of Lawrie. I remember all the times he would visit Toronto and spend time with his cousin Elyce and me and my husband Fred (deceased). We had a lot of good times and many memories. Accept our sincerest condolences.

    So sorry to hear of your loss. He will be sorely missed especially during passover when he was such a driving force at our seders. I hope your fond memories will carry you through this difficult time.
