Funeral will take place on June 20th at 11:30 am at The United Hebrew Memorial Chapel of Hamilton, 28 Ewen Road.

Please note:   Vaccination and masks are required in the Chapel.  At graveside, masks are required and social distancing (6′) unless you are of the same household.  For those that wish to participate in the mitzvah of Kevura, gloves must be worn..  Thank you for your cooperation.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, we announce the passing of Phil on Friday June 17, 2022. He was in his 100th year. Phil was predeceased by his beloved bride Rose. He leaves behind his lovingly devoted daughter Louise Cowitz, grandchildren Ira (Jill), Mitch (Sheila) and Cindy (Rob) Cowitz, and his “beauty” – his great-granddaughter Brooke, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be lovingly remembered by his dedicated caregivers Meg and her daughter Rochelle. Funeral Services to be held at United Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 28 Ewen Rd., Hamilton, on Monday June 20, 2022 at 11:30am. A special thank you to all the staff at Shalom Village for the love shown towards Phil. Donations can be made to Shalom Village, Beth Jacob Synagogue , Jewish National Fund or to a Charity of Your Choice.

    I am so sorry about your Father. I did not know of his passing. I looked up his name and feel horrible to have never known. My deepest sympathy Louise and to the whole family. Love your cousin David, and Bonnie and Sharon.
