  1. We are so sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. We will miss seeing Paula at Shalom Village where she always greeted us with a smile. She was so kind to Agnes.

  2. I found myself suddenly thinking about Paula, only to make the sad discovery that she had passed away only two months ago. We first met at the University of Manitoba, and had some funny misadventures while she lived there (like picking up foreign athletes during the 1967 Pan Am Games to show them around the city, or making up stories about her living in a backyard tent during a Winnipeg winter). I visited her and her parents later that summer in Hamilton. The beautiful cherry trestle table we bought from her store in Toronto is the central feature of our dining room, reminding my husband Charlie and me of her. To my regret, we never again connected. Our condolences to her brother and family.

  3. Dear Barry
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your sister, Paula. I would see her frequently while volunteering at Shalom Village.
May she now be at peace.

  4. We are saddened to hear that Paula has passed away. Paula and I had a strong and vibrant friendship that began in high school continuing through our university years and beyond. We grew together in our younger years and toughed it out together when it was needed. Her zest for life was only enhanced with opening and operating her retail furniture business in Toronto’s Cabbagetown. She shared and celebrated with my wife Janet, myself and our children in many family simchas. Unfortunately we lost touch some years ago.
My sincerest condolences to Barry and the family for a life cut far too short.

  7. Dear Barry,
We’re so sad and sorry for the loss of your sister Paula. I will always remember meeting her over 25 years ago, the lovely sparkle she always had in her eyes. Sam, Sarah, Josh and I will cherish the memories, and I’ll always feel connected to her through her old piano books, which I practice with every week :). Thinking of you always and sending lots of love, xoxo
